Verkenners are the high school members of Die Voortrekkers. Over the five year leadership development program we encourage these members

 

To master the skill of Personal Leadership and to apply general leadership

 

Die Voortrekkers provides Verkenners the opportunity to build on the outcome of the primary school phase (Penkoppe and Drawwertjies), e.g. the development of PERSONAL LEADERSHIP. Their activities enable them to maintain themselves, personally and within a group. They are also given the opportunity to develop and practise their leadership skills.
